Steps

1. Tell the children that in the Old Testament, the meaning given to the first name Deborah (Dvora) is “bee”. Bees are laborious, disciplined, tireless.
2. Tell them to try to imagine what a day in Deborah’s life looked like.
3. Read the following verse: “Deborah, the wife of Lappidoth, was a prophet who was judging Israel at that time”.  Judges 4:4
4. Let the children talk and say what they think.
5. Explain to them that Deborah was a prophetess, married and a judge.
