You’ve Got Your Place!

Adam Devotional

Read the biblical text: Genesis 17: 15-22

Practical

Take turns guessing how many muscles you have in your body. Try counting your muscles and find a total number.

Reflexion

The human body has more than 600 muscles! Some muscles are big and some are very small, but they all work together to help us get things done. By working together, we become stronger!

It is also like this with the family of God. We need the others.

Ephesians 4: 15-16 says:

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Just as each muscle has a unique function in the body, so each of us has a unique place in the body of Christ.

We’re special! We have gifts and abilities that we can use to support others and help the body of Christ grow.
