The Right Way

Material

  • Painter’s tape

Steps

  1. Before class, with the painter’s tape, stick three lines on the floor so that the class walks like on a balance beam. Make a straight line and the other two curved.
  2. Ask the children to take turns walking all three lines.
  3. Once everyone has had their turn, ask the children to sit down and prepare for the Bible lesson.
  4. Start the lesson. What was the easiest way to go? Allow answers. The straight path was probably the easiest for most of you. In the Bible, there is a verse that says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. This means that when we approach God, He will guide us on the right path to our lives, to have the right way to live.
  5. Make the connection with the story of the day. Today we will get to know a man named Daniel. When things got tough for Daniel, he decided to stay with God. God rewarded his faithfulness in a great way.
