Samson’s Asleep

Material

  • Balloons of two different colours (as many balloons as there are words in the Bible verse -and even more – in case of bursting or deflating)
  • Black felt marker

Steps

  1. Before the children arrive, inflate the balloons and write the verse on them (1 word per balloon) with the felt marker.
    • Judges 16:19

“After putting him to sleep on her lap, she called for someone to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him.”

  2. Allow the balloons to dry and hide throughout the room.
  3. Ask the children to get the balloons and to put them in order.
  4. The winning team is the one that manages to piece together the verse without making a mistake.
  5. At the end, repeat the verse aloud all together.
