Ask each of your children to look in the mirror and tell you what they see: eye and hair colour, freckles, glasses, a missing tooth – everything!
When we look at ourselves in a mirror, we see our own image. God created us in his image (Genesis 1:27), but that does not mean that we all look alike or look like God. This means that we are like God in some ways. We don’t just have bodies, we have a spirit and emotions, just like God. He has created many wonderful things, such as oceans, trees and animals, but only human beings are created in his image.
Thank you, God, for creating me in your image. Thank you because I am wonderful! You had a good idea when you created me.
