Tithing

• 1 bag of 10 sweets for each child

 

Steps

1. Explain to the children that Abraham presented Melchizedek with tithing (one-tenth) of all that he had. By this act, Abraham indicated that he recognized Melchizedek as both a co-worshipper of the one true God, as well as a highly qualified priest superior to him in spiritual rank and maturity. Read this verse to the children : “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.!” Proverbs 3:9 NLT
2. Then give the children a bag of 10 sweets.
3. Ask them for the tithe of that bag of candy.
4. Explain that it is a principle of gratitude to God, everything we have comes from Him, and we agree to give him 1 tenth of what we have.
