Steps

1. Show the kids the headphones.
2. Introduce them to the object lesson. Do you listen to what God has to say to you? When we put on a headset, we deliberately want to listen to something. The music of our choice. We have chosen it and no one else hears it. We hear the music and that’s all we can hear. God wants us to focus on what he has to say too! When was the last time you walked into your room and chatted with Him? today? Yesterday? Last week? Last year? Never? If we want to know Him as a friend, we really need to listen to what He has to say. If we do not listen to our friends, we will not know them. It is the same with God, we must spend time listening to Him in order to know him better.
