Father’s Heart

 

Adam was the first man, the first husband, the first father, but also the first son. It was created by God “created in the image of God” (Genesis 1.27) and it resembled him.

You too were created in the image of God. Adam had God as a father just like you have God the Father as Dad. Psalm 139:16 states, “You saw me before I was born.” When you were little in your mother’s womb, God the Father already had his loving eyes on you. God desires to be a father to you, just as he has been to Adam. Receive his love.

 

Prayer

 

“I thank you Father for imagining my birth, thank you for the life you gave me. Help me get to know you better every day and make you my Father. I love you. Amen.”

 

Application: The Father loves me

 

1. Show the kids a mirror.
2. Tell the children to look in the mirror and say this: “I am the daughter/son of God the Father, God is my daddy and he loves me.”
