Steps

1. Give each child a sheet of paper.
2. Ask the children to roll the sheet into a megaphone.
3. Recite and mime the rhyme below and ask the children to do the gestures with you.

• David loved God at all times of the day

(Squeeze yourself)

• When he played and sang his hymns

(Scratch an imaginary instrument)

• When he kept his little sheep

(Put your hands as if you were holding a sheep)

• When he was awake, when he was asleep

(Open your eyes wide, then close your eyes)
