Material

  • Cotton balls
  • Wooden craft sticks (popsicle sticks)
  • Blue, green and brown construction paper
  • Picture of Angel (attachment)
  • Picture of Jacob (attachment)
  • Glue
  • Markers

Steps

  1. Before class, cut out the images of the angels and those of Jacob. Cut strips out of green construction paper and make incisions at the top of them to make a turf effect. In brown construction paper, cut out several circles the size of Jacob’s head.
  2. Give each child a blue contruction paper.
  3. Give each child an image of Jacob, some angel images, a strip of green construction paper and a circle of brown construction paper.
  4. Give each child wooden craft sticks and ask them to color them.
  5. Ask the children to create a ladder all the way up the paper with the wooden craft sticks and then paste it.
  6. Ask them to glue cotton balls on top of the blue construction paper. It’s the sky.
  7. Ask them to glue the green stem at the bottom of the blue construction paper. It’s the turf.
  8. Ask them to glue the brown circle on the “grass” and then glue Jacob over the circle.
  9. Finally, ask the children to glue the angels on the blue construction paper.
