Fishing

Material

  • Blue construction paper
  • Construction paper of different colors
  • Baking cups
  • Glue stick
  • Googly eyes
  • Black marker
  • Pencils

Steps

  1. Give each child a blue construction paper.
  2. Tell the children to take the baking cups and place them in the desired place on their blue paper to make the bodies of the fish.
  3. Tell them to cut triangles in the construction papers to create the tails of the fish.
  4. Tell them to stick the items on their paper.
  5. Then ask them to stick a googly eye on each fish and use a black marker to draw a mouth on each fish.
  6. Tell children to use white pencils to make air bubbles over fish and blue pencils to draw waves.
  7. Let children draw plants or other creatures in the sea.
  8. Make the connection with the story in the Bible: John was a fisherman.

  • For fins, you can cut triangles of colors in advance.
