The Fish Eats Jonas

• Jonah

Steps (for the game)

1. Ask the children to try to put Jonah in the fish using only one hand.

Material (to make fish and Jonas)

• Blue plastic cup
• Googly (medium size)
• Glue or two-sided adhesive tape
• Template of tail (attachment)
• Blue construction paper
• String
• White or yellow balloon
• Permanent marker
• Flour or rice

Steps (to make fish and Jonas)

1. Make a hole in the bottom of the cup.
2. Cut a string about a meter long.
3. Thread the string through the hole and attach it together on the other side of the cup. So there will be a string wrapped and tied around the edge of the cup.
4. Print and cut the pattern of the tail.
5. Glue the tail on the base of the cup (or use two-sided tape).
6. Fill a white or yellow balloon with flour or rice without inflating it and attach it.
7. Ask the children to draw a person on the balloon with the permanent marker.
8. Attach the balloon to the end of the string.
