The Storm

 

 

Material

• 1 parachute or 1 sheet
• 1 small plastic boat

 

Steps

1. Ask the children to circle around the parachute or sheet. They have to hold it with both hands.
2. Place a plastic boat in the centre of the parachute or sheet.
3. Explain the instructions to the children. When you say “STORM,” they’ll have to shake the sheet to create a big storm with the boat. Then, when you say “PEACE”, the children will have to suddenly stop the storm.
4. Start the game and do it again as many times as you want.
5. Make the connection with the story of the day: Peter was in the boat when Jesus calmed the storm.
