• Paintbrush
• Sponge
• Ribbon
• Coloured pencils
• Hole punch

 

Steps

1. Before class, print the model on white paper (one model for two children).
2. Give each child a role model.
3. Punch two holes in the top of the sheet so that the finished piece can be hung.
4. Pass a ribbon through the holes and make a loop.
5. Give each child a paintbrush and dip a sponge in the oil (a sponge controls the amount of oil on the brush).
6. Give the children the coloured pencils and make sure that they cover the entire background of the crown.
7. Tell the children to lightly brush the white crown with the paintbrush. This will reveal the coloured hearts.
8. Use the coloured pencils to finish decorating the sheet.
9. Then hang the artwork in a bright place.
