Open the treasure

Material

• 6 squares graham crackers
• Chocolate chips
• Icing
• Pretzel sticks

 

Steps

1. Make a chest (box) with the graham crackers using the icing as glue. Glue only the top side.
2. Place the chocolate chips inside the chest.
3. Using the icing, glue the pretzel stick to the top of the chest as a handle.
4. You now have a treasure chest in which the chocolat chips represent the treasure.
5. Explain to the children that the Bible is like a treasure box: if we don’t open it and read it, we will never be able to discover the treasure that is inside.
